Rationale:
This task provides students with an opportunity to develop a detailed understanding and knowledge of the various cancers that have been identified as a national health priority. The task allows students to research and explore current and reliable information sources regarding the nature of cancer, risk factors and specific groups at risk. Requesting students to watch the interview of Jane and Glen McGrath will assist them to identify how cancer affects every day Australians and why the disease needs to be addressed as a National Health Priority Area.

Diverse Learners:
The task provides all students with the opportunity to connect with the stimulus material successfully. Auditory learners are provided with the opportunity to listen to the interview regarding the effects of being diagnosed with cancer. Visual learners are able learn from reading information on the internet and from the detail on the final posters. The making of the poster will assist kinesthetic learners to retain information as they have to physically gather the information required than design and develop the poster.
